MACHGRADE M47TuD20 Stage 2 – 230HP

The Stage 2 MACHGRADE M47TuD20 turbocharger has been expertly modified to deliver up to 230HP. The list of changes applied to the turbo is listed below:

• Upgraded journal bearings system for increased boost capacity
• Enlarged and more efficient Billet Compressor Wheel with 6+6 blades
• Lightened and clipped genuine Garrett Turbine Wheel to reduce backpressure
• Precisely machined seal plates and compressor housing
• Original Hella electronic actuator

MACHGRADE M47TuD20 Stage 3 – 250HP

The Stage 3 MACHGRADE M47TuD20 turbocharger delivers up to 250HP. In addition to the modifications listed above, the Stage 3 version features an enlarged turbine wheel for even greater performance.

Getting expected power

To achieve the designed power output, the following systems need to be adjusted:

• Fuel: Adjust the fuel system to ensure the engine is getting the right amount of fuel for the increased air intake.
• Exhaust: Upgrade the exhaust system to handle the increased exhaust gases and reduce backpressure.
• Cooling: Enhance the cooling system to manage the increased heat generated by the turbocharger.

An ECU remap is necessary to take advantage of these hardware upgrades.

The max boost of pressure allowed for this turbo is 2.2 bar.
